West Africa's airport industry to meet in June

ACCRA, GHANA, WEST AFRICA, April 27, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The air transport sector in West Africa is experiencing unprecedented growth. Driven by consistently high GDP growth in the region, fast urbanisation and the rapid emergence of the middle class, forecasts show a yearly 5.7% increase in air traffic over the next 15 to 20 years.

With government and civil aviation authorities across the region capitalising on this opportunity to drive economic growth, boost tourism and trade, and position their countries as regional aviation hubs.

IQPC is organising the West Africa Modern Airports conference, which is scheduled to take place from 20-21 June 2017 in Accra, Ghana. This conference will bring together key decision makers from West Africa including ministers, director generals, civil aviation authorities, airports and airlines to discuss the modernisation of airport infrastructure, the redevelopment of ageing assets and the adoption of new technologies to tap into the growing demand for air travel and provide safe and efficient services to passengers and airlines.
